A narrow diazotype sheet printed and hand‑inscribed by George Maciunas that lists terse, often absurd performance instructions—‘homages’ to fellow avant‑garde composers—meant as do‑it‑yourself event scores for Fluxus actions.
The sheet reads like a utilitarian announcement: pale yellow photocopy paper, machine‑set blocks of type interrupted by a small hand‑written note and a grid for bodily sounds, producing a mix of bureaucratic plainness and playful, performative invitation.
As an early Fluxus artifact, it helped make instruction and action—a set of simple, reproducible directions—into an artistic medium, collapsing music, visual art, and everyday behavior and arguing that art could be temporary, collective, and performable by anyone.
