A compact, vinyl-clad attaché case assembled by Fluxus artists as a portable kit of small objects, scores, and instructions meant to make art an everyday, participatory activity.
At first glance it reads like an ordinary black briefcase—worn metal clasps, stitched edges and the stenciled word “FLUXKIT”—but it hints at a hidden interior of playful, improvised artworks and prompts curiosity about what actions it contains.
By packaging multiple modest works into an affordable, distributable object, Fluxkits helped dissolve the boundary between art and life, advancing ephemerality, instruction-based pieces, and the idea that anyone could perform or activate art.
