A painted wood plank encrusted with mixed materials and liquid glass, assembled by Grand Openings to gather performance detritus and props into a single improvised 'garland' that records and reframes ephemeral activity.
Your eye travels along a low black bar where shiny CDs, translucent fabric, ticket stubs, metal chains, small bones, and smeared paint cling and hang like a sideways stage set strewn with traces of past actions.
By converting the leftovers of live events into a collected object, it continues the lineage of assemblage and performance documentation, questioning how ephemeral gestures are preserved, valued, and transformed when they enter the museum.
