A lithograph by the Italian collective Superstudio that pairs a pastoral, intimate scene with futuristic, honeycomb-like tower structures to imagine and critique how architecture shapes human relations.
At first glance you see a nude couple resting in tall grass above a mirrored pair of cylindrical, honeycombed towers linked by a glowing, lenslike ring—an uncanny photomontage that fuses sensual, natural textures with gleaming mechanical geometry.
Made during Superstudio’s radical 1970s interventions, the print shows how conceptual architects used photomontage and provocation to challenge modernist planning and to push architecture toward speculative, political storytelling.
