A work in painted wood made of seven narrow vertical lattice modules that repeat a simple truss-like form to investigate rhythm, seriality, and the boundary between sculpture and painting.
What hits you first is the strict, march-like rhythm of seven ladder‑like strips—alternating orange and earthy brown—whose diagonal X‑bracing creates a vibrating geometric pattern and crisp shadows against the white wall.
By reducing structure to repeated wooden trusses, Araeen engages Minimalist and concrete vocabularies while expanding them into a transnational critique of modernist abstraction that foregrounds perception, repetition, and cultural position.
