NY Series (Etchings) Light Green

An aquatint print that uses a single luminous green wash to shape a soft, curving negative space, aiming to make color feel like a tactile, bodily presence.
You first notice a bright, almost wet-looking green band that flows in rounded, brushlike strokes around a white, boat-shaped void, the edges feathering so the color reads like a gentle gesture rather than a hard outline.
By translating painterly, color-field gestures into aquatint, the work links printmaking to contemporary explorations of scale, negative space, and the material qualities of ink, showing how prints can carry the immediacy of painting.
