For the Community by the Community - Handwashing Station

A mobile handwashing station built from a steel frame, a ceramic basin, and plastic containers, conceived to provide accessible, low‑cost hygiene where plumbing is lacking.
Its pragmatic, cartlike silhouette immediately registers—the glossy black tubular frame on casters holding a stark white sink, exposed corrugated drain hose, two black jerrycans below and a bright green grab‑handle—looking both improvised and purposeful.
Developed in response to urgent public‑health needs, it illustrates how resourceful, community‑focused design repurposes everyday materials into adaptable infrastructure that makes care visible and shared.
