A 50‑second silent 16mm film projected in the gallery that uses the flicker and grain of celluloid to render a skull and evoke the slow breakdown—both physical and symbolic—of bodies and images.
You first notice a warm, flickering skull hovering on a translucent fabric, its edges softened by the screen's weave while the nearby projector and bamboo scaffold make the film's mechanical, temporal presence unmistakable.
By foregrounding the projector and the materiality of 16mm film, Camacho links antique cinematic technology to themes of decay and memory, reminding viewers how tactile film processes shape what we perceive and how we grieve.
