De Stijl. The Israel Museum, Jerusalem. March 29-May 31, 1977

An offset-lithograph exhibition poster that distills De Stijl into flat planes and primary colors, using a simplified chair motif to announce the museum show and its modernist ideals.
A towering red rectangle reads as the chair’s back against a stark black, lattice-like frame, with a blue seat and tiny yellow caps—bold, flat color and hard-edged geometry force you to see furniture as pure abstraction.
By recalling Gerrit Rietveld’s iconic Red and Blue Chair in graphic form, the poster shows how designers and museums translate De Stijl’s early-20th-century experiments in color and structure into public memory and visual identity.
