A haunting print that pairs a collaged page of German text with a scorched, translucent wash and a blood‑red circular mark made through spit‑bite aquatint, etching, xerography, and stains of animal blood and alcohol on chine collé to suggest decay and ritual.
A small, browned page seems to float in a vast white field, its vertical, flame‑like stains and a deep red, sunlike ring pressing like a wound across the printed words.
By mixing traditional intaglio with xerography and literal bodily materials, the work stretches the boundaries of printmaking and stages a visceral dialogue between language, image, and the body that influenced later transgressive, mixed‑media prints.
