A child booster/car seat made from molded polypropylene and expanded-polypropylene foam with cotton/polyester upholstery, designed to cradle a child and position the vehicle’s safety belt while absorbing impact in a crash.
You first notice its embracing, almost humanlike silhouette—broad beige padded wings and a cushioned headrest framing a narrow black central back, punctuated by bright red belt guides that read as functional accents.
The design exemplifies how turn-of-the-century industrial design translated safety engineering into everyday consumer objects, using lightweight energy-absorbing plastics and ergonomic cushioning to make advanced child restraint practical and widely usable.
