A portfolio of fourteen etchings and aquatints (thirteen with photogravure) in which Terry Winters translates biological, geological, and informational systems into restrained, diagrammatic abstractions that investigate structure and surface.

You’d first notice a hushed, near‑monochrome field of subtle tonal washes and barely‑there lines—effects that read like magnified skin or wood grain flattened into an abstract map.

These prints illustrate Winters’s role in expanding late‑20th‑century printmaking by combining intaglio and photogravure to capture delicate gradations and networked, science‑inflected forms within contemporary abstraction.
