Untitled from Exquisite Corpse

An etching that reimagines a human torso as a grotesque hybrid of foliage, tentacle and root—the artist distorts the body into a surreal, unsettling figure to probe identity and decay.
The small, centrally placed image draws you in with dense, scratchy lines: a bouquet‑like head of curling foliage, sinuous tentacle arms and a lower body dissolving into a tangle of roots and coils, all set against a broad white margin.
As part of an Exquisite Corpse series, the print updates surrealist fragmentation for contemporary art, using etching’s intimacy to push grotesque humor and anxieties about the body and identity into sharper focus.
