A lithograph concert poster for the Hungarian band Kontroll Csoport, meant to seize attention with blunt, DIY graphics while advertising an underground rock event.

A jagged red starburst explodes across a black field, anchoring a grinning, cartoonish figure operating a box while a speech bubble carries the event text and a lipstick kiss and diagonal slogan add cheeky, subversive punctuation.

Made in 1980s Hungary, it shows how punk’s raw energy and DIY aesthetics were translated into affordable graphic forms to circulate alternative culture and quietly challenge late‑socialist norms.
