"Nénuphar" table lamp
Louis Majorelle

A table lamp in gilt and patinated bronze with an acid‑etched glass shade in which Majorelle transforms a water‑lily into a functional, sensuous object that brings nature into the domestic interior.
What strikes you first is the glowing amber glass blossom perched on a tall, sinuous green stem—its curling leaves and tripod base read like stylized lily pads, merging delicate organic curves with a confident architectural presence.
An emblem of Art Nouveau, the lamp shows how designers used new glass and metalworking techniques to fuse art and utility, elevating everyday objects through nature‑inspired form and skilled craftsmanship.
