An aquatint on xerograph with chine collé from a fourteen-print portfolio in which the collective K.O.S. disrupts a page of text by marking it with a scatter of circular, bruise-like impressions to turn reading into visual intervention.
You first notice a small, centered block of typed text on a vast white sheet, then the eye is arrested by dozens of dark, haloed circles—some faint, some dense—that puncture and float over the lines, making the page feel both eroded and animated.
This work places late-20th-century print experimentation and appropriation side by side, using photomechanical and handmade marks to challenge the authority of printed text and to link fine-art printmaking with urban, collective strategies of disruption.
